広島赤十字 原爆病院の新棟（東棟）建設地に置かれていた被爆遺跡（爆風で歪んだ窓枠＝旧広島赤十字病院3階の北端部分）などは、駅前通りをはさんで向かいの日本赤十字社 広島県支部の敷地内に移設（広島市中区千田町2丁目）2013年7月2日 広島赤十字 原爆病院メモリアルパークがオープンした。

September 1993, a northern section of the third floor where the steel frame was bent by the A-bomb blast was cut away, relocated within the hospital grounds, and preserved as monument.

The tremendous blast shattered the windows of ferro-concrete buildings, bent window frames, and inflicted tremendous damage to interior walls and suspended ceilings. Flying glass shards pierced the walls of the staircase from the first floor to the roof, leaving countless marks.
